Ofcourse I’m not talking about WhatsApp, Facebook, your bank and of course Instagram which you’ll use on a daily basis. I’m talking about the 5 best travel apps that instantly make you want to book your next vacation or help you during your travels. Also a big bonus, they are absolutely free and save you a lot of time. More time to relax and enjoy your travel plans. That sounds as a win-win to me!

1. Pinterest

I use this app all the time for inspiration for my next destinations, for tips about where to stay and where to eat. Let this app inspire you and take you to new places.

2. Duolingo

If you’re not speaking the language of the country you’re visiting, this is definitely the app that will teach you the basics so you’ll be able to make yourself understandable. Every time we’re on the move to a new country I like to take a few lessons 🙂

3. Live Trekker

This app tracks you every where you go, marking a red line along a map of the exact route you took. You can add your own pictures, videos, audio and text along your way to create a multimedia travel diary for you or to share with your friends and family. I really love using this app, so I can think back at it and relive it again.

4. Google Translate

Unless you’re already a pro by using Duelingo, Google Translate is the way to go when it comes to translate. You can do this by making a picture, type it in yourself or by audio. A big bonus, you can download the language of the country your visiting, so you can use it offline as well.

5. AroundMe

If you’re searching for anything like a supermarket, a doctor (hope it’s nothing serious), the atm or anything that’s always good to know this is the app to have. Never wander around without a point and save that time to explore the city.

What are your 5 best travel apps or are you missing some in my list? I would love to know, because my next travel destination is Marrakech! If you want to read more about my recent travels, click here.

Vooral die AroundMe app lijkt me bijzonder handig.

Leuke tips!
