In my opinion, traveling is one of the best things there is but it can also be very stressful and tiring. When you’re exploring new places, meeting new people, trying new food, it’s completely natural to push yourself to the limit to experience everything. Instead of needing another vacation after your vacation (which isn’t a bad thing after all) I’m sharing some of my own tips on how to stay healthy while traveling. I’ll also share my newest find; kelp which will be my secret ingredient from now on!
1. Stay hydrated
Staying hydrated is one of the most important way to feel fresh and stay healthy when your on the road. Everyone already know the benefits of drinking enough water but they seem to forget it while traveling. Maybe it’s because of all the nice wines and sangria?
2. Explore the city by foot
Truly learn about a place goes a lot faster when you’re traveling by foot instead of the taxi or bus. I never take a taxi or bus when I go explore a city, it’s such a shame to be in a taxi and the whole city just flashes by my window. So pick a good pair of shoes, get your daily exercise and truly learn about a place at the same time. That sounds like a win-win to me!
3. Eat, sleep, explore, REPEAT
Listen to your body and take a lot of rest. Crossing time zones, carrying heavy suitcases (guilty) and walking the whole day is work too. So, taking enough rest and sleeping is the most important thing you can do. Listen to your body and enjoy your travels to the fullest!
4. Don’t skip breakfast
From all my tips, this is for me personally the hardest. I just don’t like eating breakfast. Or making it, I don’t know. I just rather skip it and go straight to lunch. But don’t do that because it is the most important meal of the day. It gives you the energy you need for a whole day of exploring. Make your parents proud!
5. Don’t forget your vitamines – MY SECRET INGREDIENT
