ON THE MOVE TO BENIDORM, SPAIN

After a couple of articles about the beauty of The Netherlands it was about time to travel to the sun again. So we travelled again to Spain and this time we arrived at Alicante airport to visit Benidorm. While most people know Benidorm from the beach and party, I was going to explore the other side of Benidorm.

If you thought Benidorm only consisted of modern buildings, your in the wrong. The skyline is indeed filled with high-rise buildings but you’ll also find a gorgeous old center. Visit one of the many terraces or tapas bars and stroll through the narrow streets. Make sure to stop by the viewpoint, called Mirador del Castillo which is absolutely gorgeous. Together with Liselore, the photographer behind @grabyourbags.nl we shot some really cool photos there in the best yellow dress ever.

If your the type that wants to stay fit during your vacation, Benidorm is also the place to be. From water sports like kayaking, jet skiing or sailing. Also discovering the underwater world is possible if your into diving or snorkeling. What amazed me the most was the surrounding areas of Benidorm and how stunning the nature was. By electric bike we drove to Sierra Helada which you can see in the picture below together with Marta from @wherelifeisgreat and the best host Carola from @carola_valls.

For the food lovers among us, Spain is of course the place to be. Known for their delicious tapas, fresh fish and the best paellas, there is no way you can’t love the Spanish kitchen. In Benidorm you can try it all by visiting the local restaurants in the old town. We’ve also visited some high-end places like Villa Venecia Boutique Hotel and the Belvedere restaurant in our Madeira Hotel. If your into cocktails and rooftop bars, you’ll feel yourself right at home at Planta 20.

Terra Mitica was also on our list to visit and as you can see I felt right at home in between the rollercoasters. After that, we went wine tasting at Bodegas Enrique Mendoza where I felt right at home (yes – again). But the absolute highlight was the jeeptour for me, which gave us stunning views and places to visit.

For my trip I travelled with the cutest backpack ever from Ilisio and I’m sure I’m going to travel with it a lot this year. Thanks to the prints and designs they match your outfit perfectly, so you should definitely check them out here.

Traveling through Benidorm couldn’t be better organized so a big thanks to VisitBenidorm for inviting me on this trip and showing me and my followers this destination. More information about what to do in Benidorm can be found here: www.visitbenidorm.com
