Whenever I’m back on my favorite island again, I love staying at a traditional finca. A rural finca in Mallorca can offer everything from modern luxury to family-friendly rooms. The piece and quiet is more often standard than an additional plus. If you really want to escape from your daily life, choosing a rural finca is the perfect choice to get your own slice of the real Mallorcan lifestyle.
Ses Plenetes is located at one of the most attractive coast areas, just 10 km North of Cala d’Or at the East Coast of the island. Surrounded by beautiful bays this place is as picture perfect as can be. In Portocolom you’ll find a wide range of bars, restaurants and a lot of water facilities. Also the surrounding areas from Portocolom have a lot to offer for your holiday. Rent a car (yes, I know I always recommend this) and visit one of the many highlights this island has to offer.
My 5x favorite things to do in Portocolom:
- Visit the caves
- Take sailing lessons
- Play some golf
- Visit the wine region called Pla y Llevant
- Go to the beach at Cala d’Or

As a lot of you probably already know, I’ve stayed in Mallorca for five days of fulltime shooting and some well deserved – relax time. This couldn’t have been better because of the two great hosts of this finca.
